With any massive community your always going to have terrible people. Obviously none of this excuses review bombing things / harassing people that have nothing to do with the situation, but as far as Mihoyo goes they kinda had it coming.Īlso I do want people to keep in mind this community is freaking massive. It's a bunch of other things combined leading up to this moment. So no, it's not as simple as people getting upset because of bad Anni Rewards. All of this, on top of the comparisons of Anni Rewards to other games leads to a very angry/disappointed player base especially given Mihoyo's complete lack of communication and consistent stinginess with rewarding its community. To top it off Kokomi also just recently came out and she's even worse than Yoimiya was while also having nearly her entire story arc cut from ACT 3. Raiden came out being very C2 bait and lacking Beidou interaction.
Yoimiya was kinda sent out to die with a very lackluster kit with tons of problems and balance issues that Mihoyo chose to completely ignore on top of having pretty bad 4*s. Mihoyo is coming off of a string of missteps stemming from the Yoimiya banner onward. For some extra context, much of this situation surrounding the Anni Rewards is important.
